DJ Emily Rawson, creator of R'n'Brunch, has been mentoring up-and-coming female DJs since 2011, providing opportunities and a platform for DJs who might otherwise have been overlooked by their male peers.

Emily has won a Marie Claire 'Woman at the top' award for her work.

Coming up as one of the very few female dj's in the country, Emily always struggled to get the same opportunities as her male peers. She wanted to change that.

Emily invests her time and energy into ensuring women are given the same opportunities as men in an industry that is still sadly around 90% male-dominated, even in 2026.

DJs Emily has mentored include Sandra Omari (1Xtra / Capital Xtra), Ellie Prohan (Kiss), Miss Gower, Fearney, Rhea Louise & many more.

Emily’s DJ collective, Rock The Belles, has featured some of the biggest female names in the UK. Hosts and performers have included Clara Amfo (BBC), Julie Adenuga (Apple Music), Jamz Supernova (BBC 6 Music), and A-Dot (Apple Music).

Emily continues to champion and create opportunities for emerging female DJs.

Rock The Belles - the UK’s hottest all-female DJ crew - is bringing their signature high-energy experience to for R'n'Brunch Party. Created by DJ Emily Rawson (BBC 1Xtra), the Rock The Belles collective has played for Red Bull, Nike, Chanel, MTV, The Kardashians, Kanye West, Boiler Room, Beats 1, and more. They’ve done festival takeovers at Lovebox and private events at Soho House, Shoreditch House, alongside acts like Ms. Dynamite & Lady Leshurr.

What to Expect

From 90s RnB classics to today’s bangers, with a healthy dose of hip-hop, garage, bashment, and Afrobeats, R’n’Brunch Party is where good food meets even better vibes.

DJ, Founder of Rock The Belles all-female DJ collective, mentor to women in music and queen of London’s hip-hop & RnB scene, Emily Rawson is one of the fiercest entrepreneurs in music today.

Cutting her teeth as a hip-hop DJ in the 1990s on her friend’s Technics 1210s in a north London bedroom - she now fills London’s hottest clubs with Supa Dupa Fly and Rock the Belles parties. She’s played alongside Jazzy Jeff, supported Kanye West and has spun for DJ for Chanel parties and the Kardashians.

Emily has been awarded Marie Claire’s ‘Women At The Top’ award, an accolade celebrating ten of the most inspirational innovative game-changers who shaped the year with their work and is a regular contributor on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
